NVM Scholarship

The National Videogame Museum is proud to announce the second annual NVM College Scholarship! While the NVM is devoted to chronicling and preserving our industry's rich past, we also look to contribute to the future of the videogame and technology industries through our new scholarship program. There are four different scholarship opportunities available to high school graduates pursuing careers in gaming or technology-based fields.  Three of the four are limited to Texas residents but the fourth is open to women across the country.  

How To Apply 

Applications will be accepted until June 1, 2021, and should be submitted to the e-mail address info@nvmusa.org. Please download the application here and follow the instructions included. 


The four scholarships are avalible to high school students on track to enroll in a four-year college or university for the Fall 2021 semester. Each scholarship has a separate eligibility requirement, and are as follows:

  • Frisco, Texas Resident: Frisco is home to the National Videogame Museum, and the museum would like to award one applicant within Frisco city limits.
  • Texas Resident:  Applicants must be a current resident of the state of Texas.Texas residents attending out-of-state colleges will be considered in this category.
  • Texas Resident – Title 1 School Graduate:  Applicants must be a current resident of the state of Texas, must be graduating from state of Texas designated Title 1 school and have a household income of $50,000 or less.
  • Women in Technology: Videogame design and technology fields have traditionally been male-dominated. In an effort to bring more diversity to these fields, this scholarship will be awarded to the most qualified female applicant. It is open to female students across the U.S.

The National Videogame Museum is looking to our friends and sponsors to help us make these scholarships possible and to provide these opportunities to the students that represent the future of our industry and community.
