We’re glad you’re visiting the FAQ section of the National Videogame Museum! This page provides helpful answers and key guidelines to ensure a smooth and enjoyable visit for all.
No, we do not allow any kind of water bottles, beverages, or food inside the museum.
Please leave those items inside your vehicle or finish them before entering.
Look for the “Museum Hours” clickable pop-up at the bottom right hand corner of the site. This has the most up-to-date hours for the museum!
While times vary widely by individual, the average time is about an hour to an hour and a half.
Wristbands allow unlimited re-entry for the day. Feel free to leave and come back as you need to!
We do not enforce a cutoff time for ticket sales but the museum shuts down completely at closing time.
The only items for sale are in the gift shop located at the museum entrance.
The “store” located near the computer wall is just an exhibit illustrating the North American videogame crash of the 1980s.
NVM is a fully interactive museum loaded with consoles and games you can pick up and play! There’s something for everyone – from Atari to Nintendo Switch!
Museum visitors receive 4 tokens to use in the arcade with admission. All games are one token per play. Additional tokens can be purchased for 25 cents each at the change machine in the arcade (cash only) or inside the gift shop.
Yes! Admission cost can be applied towards a membership – up to the total number of members on the card. Must be applied same day as visit.
Ex: Four regular admissions subtracted from a family membership: $99.99 – $48 = $51.99.
